In a few short weeks, it will be time for final exams here at TCC Trinity River Campus. All semester long, the TR Library staff have helped you learn about information and locate scholarly resources for your papers and projects. Now it’s time for you to show what you know. We’re not abandoning you to do it all on your own, though. Check out some of these apps designed to help you study, manage your time, plan ahead for potential stumbling blocks, and pass your exams.
Use this app to access your StudyBlue.com free account on your mobile device. StudyBlue helps you create flashcards with text, images, and even audio clips. Then the app turns those flashcards into a game to make studying by yourself or with your friends much easier and a lot more fun. You can even set up reminders on your phone so you don’t forget to study those flashcards again later. StudyBlue is also available for Android devices from Google Play.
This award-winning and highly-rated app has been around for more than 5 years, and has recently been updated to help you track your classes, assignments, and tests. Set reminders to help you stay focused on the most important tasks and assignments. Reduce your test anxiety by planning plenty of study time well in advance. Plus, the app is integrated with Facebook, so you can sign-on without creating a new account. myHomework Student Planner is also available on Google Play for Android devices.
Take your studying beyond flashcards with this app that helps you create mind maps to organize concepts and ideas. Instead of just memorizing those dates and vocabulary words, you can see how they relate to each other. Share maps by email or upload to Dropbox to sync multiple devices. Also available for Android devices through Google Play.
