Information presented in class often contains the central concepts of the course and the material most likely to be included on exams. Yet, students frequently do not realize the importance of notetaking and listening. Not only can a student “survive” college with these skills, they can actually do quite well. Jo Klemm presented a slideshow with some excellent tips for notetaking at the 2011 Learning Skills Week, sponsored by SE Counseling and Testing. Here is the slideshow. If you have questions or would like help building a Note Taking blog, come by the library.
