Southeast Campus Library is proud of its four distinct study spaces. To reserve any of these spaces please stop by the reference desk or call 817-515-3084. You may also email the Library Director at JoTisa.Klemm@tccd.edu to reserve your time and space.
The Silent Study is located in the back southwest corner of the library. There are several large tables, as well as a few study carrels. The “No Talking” rule and white noise produced by the vents make this space a perfect area for deep concentration.
We have a new group study room at the front of the library by the exit with room for 4 – 5 students. This room has the unique feature of a floor to ceiling dry erase board. This study room has been more popular than we ever anticipated. This room books up fast, so make sure to reserve ahead of time.
Our two other group spaces boast a high tech innovation that has proven incredibly helpful to group presentations and group study. The study “pods” named “The Grotto” and “The Forum” provide TV screens that allow up to four laptop screens to be connected at one time. Users can decide which computer screen is projected by pushing on a small disc that switches the input to the TV.
The Grotto seats 6 comfortably, while the Forum seats up to 14.
