1 CommentWelcome to my Virtual Reading Room. Today in my first issue of the VRR, I will share with you some details about a few new additions to the J. The Jefferson Bible: The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth Extracted Textually From the Gospels in Greek, Latin, and French & English by Thomas Jefferson with Essays by Harry R Rubenstein, Barbara Clark Smith & Janice Stagnitto Ellis, 2011. Six years before his death in 1826 Thomas Jefferson completed a project that he had worked on privately for many years, this book in which he cut out, assembled, then pasted parts of four gospels of the New Testament in four different languages to create this book. He arranged them in chronological order to tell of the life story, and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. He included maps pullout maps of the journey and a table of the texts and the order of the arrangement as well.
