Did you forget to bring your newspaper today? Or maybe you forgot your latest copy of People to read during your lunch hour? No problem, just come on over to the J. Ardis Bell Library. We carry the local daily newspapers for both Fort Worth and Dallas, plus, we also have the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. In fact, the Library subscribes to many different types of magazines and journals that might just interest you. We have popular, leisure reading magazines, like Southern Living, Sports Illustrated, Eating Well, Rolling Stone and even People.
Sometimes, it’s great to get out of our offices and buildings to go to some other place to have lunch or drink a cup of coffee. At the library, there are many quiet places to be able to do that. We’ve created some cozy corners that you can slip into letting the work day disappear for at least a few minutes.
For others that like to read books, please feel free to browse through our catalog. You’ll find all kinds of books; the ones that circulate, or checkout, are found on the lower level. We also have a lot of eBooks. Some can simply be viewed on the computer and some are downloadable. And if a copy of a book you want is at another campus, no worries, we can order it and have it sent here for you. The only thing that you need is your staff or faculty i.d. card. If you don’t have one, well, the Copy Center is in the library. They will be happy to make one just for you at no charge.
