Interlibrary Loan
Technical Services will be happy to borrow materials from other libraries at the request of our campus libraries. ILL is typically restricted to TCCD faculty/staff members, but all requests are at the discretion of the libraries. Typically, requested materials do not have an associated cost, but any requests that have such a cost are paid by the requesting library. In addition,
“The Technical Services Department at Tarrant County College assumes all financial responsibility for interlibrary loan items borrowed from participating institutions while in the department, in transit to the borrowing campus library, and in transit as it is returned to the loaning institution. The borrowing TCC campus, however, assumes all financial responsibility for the borrowed item once it is received by the campus and during its loan to the requesting faculty member or other authorized borrower. Should the item be lost or damaged by the campus library or the TCCD borrower, the requesting campus assumes financial responsibility for the item and will pay all fees associated with its repair or replacement as determined and invoiced by the loaning institution. The borrowing campus has the option of recovering these fees from the patron; however, the fees must be paid by the campus in a timely manner and will not be contingent on the recovery of these fees from the borrowing patron.” –Technical Services ILL policy
